Hotel Booking Terms & Cancellation Policy
1. Cancellation Policy
The Hotel may cancel any booking in the event of damage to the property which prevents it from performing it’s obligations; the Hotel will refund any deposit made but will have no further liability to the guest.
Advance Purchase Offers
Advance Purchase Offers may be available to guests attending events held at Donington Park Farmhouse.
These are pre-paid in full and non-refundable in the case of cancellation.
Group Bookings
Group Bookings are those in which 10 or more room-nights are reserved.
The Hotel stands to lose more on group cancellations than individual cancellations, so the cancellation policy is stricter.
For group bookings we take full payment upon booking. Cancellations will be treated as follows:
For cancellation more than 3 months prior to arrival No costs
For cancellation between 2 and 3 months prior to arrival 25% of the cancelled revenue retained
For cancellation between 2 months and 14 days prior to arrival 50% of the cancelled revenue retained
For cancellation less than 14 days prior to arrival 100% of the cancelled revenue retained
Individual Direct Bookings
Individual Direct bookings are those made via our own website, or direct with the hotel by telephone, email or in-person.
Cancellations will only be accepted in writing or by e-mail.
All direct bookings may be cancelled without charge before 12:00 midday on the arrival day.
Late cancellation or no show will be charged at the full cost of the first night’s stay.
Stays shortened after check-in; cancel a night before 12:00 midday on the day; no charge. Otherwise charged in full.
Agency Bookings
Agency bookings are those made by or using any third-party travel agency, including comparison websites.
Cancellations must be made via the booking agency and cannot be accepted directly due to commission fees.
All agency bookings may be cancelled without charge before 12:00 midday on the day prior to arrival.
Late cancellation or no show will be charged at the full cost of the first night’s stay.
Stays shortened after check-in will be charged in full unless the agency agrees to waive commission charges. In which case, cancel a night before 12:00 midday on the day; no charge. Otherwise charged in full.
2.Use of Bedrooms
The number of people occupying the room must not exceed the number stated in the reservation.
Except for baby food, only food or drink purchased on-premises should be consumed on-site.
Dogs are welcome providing they do not cause nuisance to other guests and are not left alone in a bedroom. There is a £10 per night cleaning fee for a dog/dogs.
Check-in is from 2pm. Check-out is by 10.30am. Upon request we endeavour to offer early check-in and late check-out where possible. Guests are welcome to use the Hotel’s facilities before check-in and after check-out.
3. Loss of Damage to Guest’s Property
The Hotel does not accept responsibility for loss of or damage to any personal possessions, including pets.
The Hotel does not accept responsibility for loss of or damage to vehicles, or any property within them.
The Hotel refers to and relies on The Hotel Proprietors Act 1956
4. Loss of Damage to Hotel’s Property
Any loss or damage to the Hotel’s Property will be charged in full. This includes unreasonable mess, soiling or damage by a child or dog. If damage to a room requires subsequent reservations to be cancelled, any lost income will be charged in full.
Smoking in a bedroom is illegal and will incur a £200 cleaning charge.
If in the opinion of the Hotel a guest is behaving anti-socially or causing damage or disturbance, they will be made to leave without refund.
5. Complaints
To give the Hotel opportunity to rectify complaints, please raise them at the earliest possible time and in any event before your departure.
6. Contract
The construction, validity and performance of this Agreement is governed by the law of England and the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.
The Guest agrees that the Contract with the Hotel is made at the Hotel’s premises and that any proceedings between the parties shall be conducted in the County Court nearest to the Hotel.
