The Threshing Barn is the heart of Donington Park Farmhouse – a striking, authentic wheat barn dating back to the 1720s. Originally used for the threshing process, where grain was separated from the chaff, this age-old tradition is what gives the barn its name.
Today, it’s our most popular ceremony space and also the setting for the evening wedding party. With its exposed brickwork, soaring beams, and plenty of rustic charm, it’s full of atmosphere from start to finish. The barn is equipped with an integrated sound system for your ceremony music and there’s plenty of room to bring in a live band or DJ to get the celebrations started.
The 25 acres of grounds at Donington Park Farmhouse include woodland, open fields, our herb garden and our little duck pond, with plenty of rustic spots and backdrops for your wedding photography. For couples who want to stay on-site, we have 20 bedrooms so you can make a weekend of it.

We have a few recommended DJs (along with other wedding suppliers we recommend) but you can bring your own entertainment. If you don’t use one of our recommended DJs, we send a short contract to your entertainment supplier, and there is a small £60 fee for this process.

(But we don’t get involved in decoration, so we do recommend that you bring in a third-party wedding stylist).

Donington Park Farmhouse is a rustic barn wedding venue and does not need a great deal of decoration to look great. Some seasonal accent colours, wild flowers and a few special touches that reflect you and your unique style will go a long way. The dining room (or ‘the Pig Sties’) usually requires the most decoration, and that can usually be done the night before the wedding.
